Author: Arcangelo Corelli (1653-1713)
The Christmas Concerto Op.6 No.8 was written in 1708 and forms part of a set of twelve concerti grossi. Corelli had a profound influence on baroque style and as a teacher of violin he had the priviledge to teach future personalities and virtuosos including Francesco Geminiani and possibly also Pietro Antonio Locatelli.
